Hi, for anyone interested, I have a working complete (drop-in replacement without any solder to do) unit for the sony cdp-605 , (different number for Japanese version) , it has a brand new laser and works well except for the normal rubbing of the top clamping rotor, it is the way it’s designed, the mechanism has been completely cleaned so there will be no skipping and track jumping !

Hi Guus, it is a BU-1A with a new laser unit.
I hope that you know how to install it because I lost the service manual for adjusting the voltages of the laser and amplitude of signal.
