FS: DIY B1 Preamp
DIY B1 preamp using Nelson Pass DIY B1 board with very high quality parts (Caddock MK132 resistors, input capacitor is 1uf Mundorf MKP capacitors bypassed with a 0.01uf Vishay/Roederstein MKP1837, dual PEC volume pots, and output capacitors of 1uf Obbligato Gold type/ ASC 10uf. It also has Nelson Pass tested matched Jfets installed. $175 + Shipping

It has been asked: can the B1 power headphones (HPs). I tried mine and Yes the B1 will power HPS. But because it is a source follower you lose about 15% of the input signal.
I have 33ohm Audio Technica Airs and the B1 drove them OK but at a low volume level. Not so low that you cannot enjoy the music but just low. |
