For sale:
TDA1541 DAC board, fully stuffed. This is from a company called "DIYAudioCraft," which is no longer with us. The board has two TDA1541 DAC chips, a CS8412 receiver and all supporting circuitry including a powersupply (need +-18V transformer). There is also a matching output stage. Both use high quality parts such as Sanyo Os-Con caps and separate TL431 shunt regulators for all power pins. Never got around to putting this one together. $80 for both, includes shipping in US48.
CS8414 with DIP adaptor board for use in CS8412 position. Could be used with DAC board above. $10 includes shipping in US48.
DIYParadise "Rudolph Broetjes' Jfet output stage for DACs." Nice Jfet-based I/V output stage for DACs. As used with TDA1545 in "Monica" DAC. Probably similar to output stages in TDA1545 DACs from Red Wine and Yamamoto. Runs on 12V-18V. New, unopened, with board and all parts. $30 includes shipping in US48.

Hi I would be interested in the I/V stage. Do you know if this can be used with modern current output DAC chips such as PCM1794 / PCM1798?
Would you ship to the UK?
Thanks
Rich

Hi Rich,
Shipping to UK would be +$5 for a total of $35.
A schematic of the circuit, and some discussion on how to use it, can be seen here:
diyparadise - Rudolf Broertjes' SS I/V Gain Stage
Also, there are some photos of the completed board.

BTW, the circuit is trimmable, so I'm guessing it would work with any current-out DAC that is roughly in the ballpark of the TDA1545. The TDA1545 has bias current of 714uA and full-scale output of 1000uA or 1.0mA.
