Default FS: SacThailand Minuet EL34 SE | ''NOS'' (FIN)

As I have two of these amazing amps, so other has to go. Amp is in unopened box and equipped with original Svetlana EL34 and chinese 6N1P-tubes. Must be an rare NEW peace of kit, as production stopped with this amp in 2008 – I believe.

This amp beats it's chinese rivals hands down on sound and build quality. Don't get me wrong – I love my Yaqin's, Suppo's etc., but this Thai-amp just is better in every way.

KT77-tubes are drop-in replacements for the EL34 and this amp has autobias, so no need for bias adjustment. This unit is 220-240V version.

Further specs: sacthailand.com

Asking for 430 euros + shipping. Will ship to europe, shipping cost upon quote. Payment with PayPal only.

hello,

I'm interest in the new brother of this amp: the minute el 34 in the same brand. I'd like to know if this brand is reliable. What kind of speaker can drive your menuet?

Thanks: david/france

Hi David,

I have driven all kinds of speakers with the Minuet and works very well even with speakers of 86 dB sensitivity. It has very punchy sound regardless of the 6 WPC. The quality of SacThailand amps in my view is very good and is somewhat better than it's chinese rivals, which I have tested with a wide range.

So, recommendations to SacThailand from my part.

Regards and Merry Christmas

Kristian

Hello Christian,

Thanks for your reply! It's amazing that so few watts can drive a 86db sensitivity! I read that your amplifier is sold but it wasn't to buy it just to have your point of view about this brand because there's no very much posts about it. Did you see the new minute amp now is output is 10w and in SE as usually. What kind of amp did you compare with?

Have a merry christmas: David

Well, my listening room is very small, about 13 square meters, so power is not an issue there. I've done some comparison with Yaqin MS-300B and Suppo GV-1. They all are great in some aspects, but the Minuet is the most suitable for my music taste, which is mostly metal. But I think this is more about the tube type than the amplifier itself. EL34 tube is in this case a very good compromise between punch of a EL84 tube and warmth of a 300B tube.

Another interesting chinese made brands are Antique Sound Lab and PrimaLuna, but this gear is hard to get here in Finland, as no importers for these are present. Nor for SacThailand for that matter.

The amplifier was marked sold, because I had enquiry's about the amp if it's still available.

Thanks,

About primaluna somebody who likes very much EL34 sound told me that its sound was very cold and liveless compared to the little and cheap SE EL 34 mingda wich is very good when re-tubed.
