Default WTD: Phillips TDA1541A DAC

Looking if anyone has a Phillips TDA 1541A for sale.

Better if it was a S1 or S2 but not too worried, depends on price.

Thanks.

Graham

No worries, the standard chips, (A) are good for at the very least a tenner plus postage, the S1's depend on how many people want one at the time, ive got 2 matched for sale, they have gone from £30-80 ea and the double crown, well ive seen them hit 3x the top price of the S1, its all the same chip though, some companys even bought standard types, re measured them and put them in there products as double crowns.

NB. i better mention that i used the term 'standard' as it was probably the most widely used, I dont want to get flamed down by the more informed here and i certainly dont want to start a dabate on 'R' vs 'A'!

No probs, dont believe what you have been told, everything can fail and TDA's are not exclusive, ive got a cd2 with 4 of these and one of them has failed.

The trouble is that I am not sure if its the chip, and cant afford to risk the trial and error, I would love to just swap the S1 with one of your S1s and see. If it solves it, I will pay you (it would have to be the lower price and once I had sold the CDM4/19, unless you want to swap a S1 for the laser assembly) otherwise I cant risk it, the wife will not be very happy, as I have already bought a CDM4/19 assembly, only to find that the laser assembly is not the issue, so its spare now.
