FS: Audax AM170Z 6.5” cast frame mid/woofers

The AM170Z is Audax’s best 6.5” mid/woofer driver. This cast frame unit is the fully shielded version of the Audax HM170Z with identical performance specs. It uses Audax’s best aerogel cone. These mid/woofers were made available to me to design and prototype a full 5.1 Home Theater loudspeaker system. Unfortunately, the project was cancelled late in the development. For a picture and a full set of specs on the HM170Z see the Madisound website at Audax HM170Z18 6.5" Aerogel Cone from Madisound. The only difference is the presence of a shielding cup on magnet of the AM version.

I have ten units. Eight are new unused. Two were used briefly in the design effort, but are in like new condition. Madisound wants $116 each ($104 each in lots of ten) for the HM170Z. I am asking $59 each plus shipping.

I can supply crossover schematics and parts list for a two-way speaker using the AM170Z with an Audax AWO25A4 soft dome tweeter ($24 each). Also have full data for an MTM using two AM170Zs with the AWO25A4 tweeter.

Is this AM version identical with HM 170Zo or Z18 (bigger magnet) I have a pair of HM170ZO and was looking for a project. Do you have AWO25A4 tweeters available? Regards, L

The measured BL is 6.5NA and the corresponding sensitivity is 89.4dB which corresponds to the Z18. I have at least eight pices of the AWO25A4. Let me know if you are intrested in them.
