Default WTB : Microphone for room measurement

Looking for a measuring microphone. I bought a house, and finally have a small gameroom where i can setup my line arrays. Want to measure the room to figure out how many more acoustic panels i need to build (already have 4).

Thanks!

It depends how much you want to spend.

Ypu can start with DIY as per Linkwitz:-

System Test

After that there is one by Behringer, you could pay to have it calibrated, and so on up the price range, just google.

Get this one. Dayton EMM-6 Electret Measurement Microphone
You'll need a preamp with phantom power.

I don't want to spend a lot (<$50) considering that it'll be used maybe a couple of times. I'm not into measuring loudspeakers and such. I just want my room to be acoustically treated well so that i can finally enjoy my speakers

Behringer ECM8000 and dayton EMM-6 are the two that I'm currently eying.

I don't have a preamp with phantom power ... i own a adcom GFP-750. I was thinking of connecting the mic to my laptop. You all think it'll work this way?

You can connect the mic to your laptop, but not directly. You'll need a phantom power supply with a USB port.
