Default FS: A pair of Fonken speakers

For sale is a pair of custom made Fonken speakers.

I think these are called "FonkenSteen".

Each speaker has a vintage 4.5" fullrange speaker. Fostex FX120 or 120A can also be used in these cabinets.

Fonken-steen yes.

Those are quite lovely. The back does need to be glued on.

Is the driver centred vertically?

Driver looks like a Coral... how are the surrounds (these often suffer from stiff surround syndrome).

Are they baltic birch under the veneer (what is that BTW, it is stunning)

Thanks Dave. Yes, the driver is centred vertically. I don't know what the drivers are as there is no name brand on it. Surround are still very flexible. About the finish, i think it is veneer over baltic birch - not sure though.
