FS: Yamaha F1040 2/3/4-way mono active crossovers, THREE
I collected these thinking they'd work on my next project, but as flexible as they are, the frequency ranges don't exactly line up for my 3-way setup as I'd optimally want. So...here they are for sale!
They are 2/3/4-way mono units, three of them included, which have a good range of frequencies available as well as 12/18-dB slope selectivity. Here is a link to the owner's manual if you need to do a little research to see if these will work for you. Build quality is typical Yamaha from this period (early 80s), when their pro amps were very highly regarded. There are several ICs or dual FETs used as buffers (3/channel?), but the filter circuits are entirely discrete. Inputs/outputs are unbalanced phono/TS and transformer-balanced XLR, which means using the unbalanced connections with or without RCA/phono adaptors is actually optimal - not usually the norm when using pro-designed gear.
Two of them are in guaranteed 100% working condition, and the third (one of the two better looking pieces) MAY have some minor issue, although I wasn't able to recreate any problem during basic testing. Cosmetically, they all look pretty good from the front, but one top cover (which is interchangeable) has noticeably more wear.
Asking $200 plus shipping for the trio. I'd prefer a US sale as that simplifies things from my end, although we can probably figure out an alternative via the USPS that makes international shipping viable. I'm not an experience seller here at DIYAudio, but I've got good audio-related feedback on Audiokarma, Audiogon (as cdface), and eBay (also as cdface).
