WTB: 18g magnet wire, cheap, decent qty.

I'm looking for a decent quantity (100-200lbs?) of 18g magnet wire. Ideally, it would be at close to scrap price. I know this is a real shot in the dark, but why not? Let me know what you've got and where you are located. I might be able to get it picked up in a variety of locations.

Have you gotten prices on this stuff? There are plenty of companies that sell it. I am thinking MWS in California for one.

I'm hoping for a stash well below typical surplus prices. A big pile that would otherwise be destined for the scrap yard. $4 a pound or less. 100lb spools. I know it ain't likely, but ya' don't know unless you ask.

I did a little research and it appears the going price is around $10 a pound. Good luck.
