Components were purchased to create a small subwoofer in vented enclosure for moderate to low listening levels. The plate amp is a discontinued model purchased on closeout. It has a built-in bass boost EQ with 5db of boost at 35 Hz. Usual plate amp features are included: built in variable frequency low pass filter, phase switch, and both speaker and line level inputs.

Amp and speaker have been tested and work OK, but this project never got off the ground so they are in like-new condition.

Modeling this with in a vented box, counting the plate amp bass boost, I get flat response to about 30hz.

Output would be limited as the driver has only 4mm xmax. But the build quality of the driver is quite good. Zaph had a project in the archives using this woofer, and had very good things to say about it.
