Default Fs: Tda1541a os dac

This TDA1541A OS DAC is built from an eBay AnalogMetric kit. All top quality parts - with OPA627 for IV and OPA604 for buffer output. It is working perfectly and sounds good.

Schematic is shown here at Hi-End CD DAC TDA1541A (CS8412 & SAA7220) Standard Kit - eBay (item 280411615600 end time Apr-15-10 23:25:38 PDT)

This is not NOS with a SAA7220 on board. I did try converting it to NOS by removing the SAA7220 and changing the CS8412 wiring, but I prefer the original design.

This sale is for the board only, no case or transformers.

Why I am selling? Because I have too many of them. I have built five different TDA1541 DAC, but I can only keep two of them - I can't sell those two because they are modded and built with proto boards.

All of them sound alike and very good to my ears. Frankly, I can't hear much the differences of those TDA1541 dac in my tube-amp headfi system. Rolling various opamps in IV and buffer is the easies way to get the sound you like.

Awesome ! thanks for the reply. I broke my sony esd... (tda with complicated re-clocking and cdx chips) which sounded the best in midrange but lacked the bass. I am now going to buy 2 kits from analog-metric and hoping to get the superb colored sound of tda. I have also a good pcm56k still in modification, but to me it was night and day difference to listen to the sony.

Best luck selling your kit !

I NEED schematic , also the wiring diagram of transformer I need badly !!
(just blasted some 1A fuse
I also need to know the best grounding way, also for a 3 pin outlet

I believe the ground should not be connected to the pcb, only the black wires of transformer. The chassis and transformer could be grounded on the main ground...
