Okay, I think this is the last of my garage sale posts in this round.
I'm listing this on DIYaudio as a project rather than as a complete table due to the following: - no dust cover - no belt (belt available here: LP Gear: Michell Syncro turntable belt replacement ) - no mounting screws to mount the motor to the plinth ('should' be an easy replacement) Other than that, this is a fully functioning table. Nice looking table (as all Michell's are/were) and quite good sounding. At the time, I felt it slotted in between the Rega 3 level tables and the LP12/Gyrodek level tables. Fitted with the usual RB300 tonearm, and it used an synchronous AC motor (as did most British 'tables of the day). It looks like I put a coating of rubber cement on the RB300 at some point; I guess this was a mod going around at some point in the past. The bearing pulls out of the table in a single unit, so this is actually a good 'donor' if you're looking for a more elaborate project, although it might be a touch difficult to fit another platter to this bearing since the spindle is threaded. The one mod I did do to the table was to fill the aluminum chassis with epoxy to damp it - worked pretty well if I remember correctly without adding much mass so the sprung suspension isn't upset. Asking $250 + actual shipping, open to offers. Basically you're buying an RB300 and getting the rest of the table for free. |

Still available - international buyer balked when discovering how much shipping would be.
