I got in touch with uhcmos. He said the ones he has were type B. The one I am looking for is type A, as it says on the sticker.
However, I read there was a change in markings (old ones A are nowadays B)
Potentiometers (Beginners' Guide to Pots) - section pot markings.
Considering the amp I have is 10 years old it is possible an A letter indicated linear at that time, which now is B. Anybody can help on that?

I need help getting one of these to work! They don't act like pots- they pass audio but don't attenuate the signal. They are marked "AC only" and I can't get a resistance measurement with a DVM.
HELP!
