Allright, I've got this T935a with apparently a dead HV supply.
If you want to get it for spare parts, just answer in this thread and we'll arrange something. Pick up in Brussels, shipping at your cost in Belgium. It's not worth shipping it further. Some random picture from the web:

Berny, if you need parts: I have a broken T922 which is built similar to the T935. Knobs, switches, input boards etc are fine. This one stays black.
Of course you can have it for free (except shipping costs).

Args, why has this to be belgium only, i am from your little neighbor country known as germany, still quite new to the electronics hobby but i would really like to get this scope and get it back up and running since i think that could teach me a lot on electronics repair and i need a decent scope, mine is like 100 years old and slowly falling apart.
Please Contact me if you think it might be possible to work something out.

Hi there, Razorblade.
I am near you in this same "little country", so feel free to contact me if you are still in need of such a scope. I have a Tektronix T912, a 2430 and a 2445, both in real good state and repaired. so, if you want to buy one let me know via PN , so we can discuss the details. |

I haven't had the opportunity yet to have a closer look for now... too much ongoing. I hope that by next weekend I can already have a look inside.
Jean-Paul & Tekman, thank you very much for the proposed support! Much appreciated. From what I found & understood Ben (00940) tried to have it work again and it seems somebody else in the past did as well. Blown PSU in a Tek T935A scope The problem seems to be the HV section, and according to the research Ben already did, I suspect a bit a capacitor failing at higher voltage... Any advice where to start, based on what Ben already did? I have a variac laying around somewhere at my parents place, I will need to go pick it up. Thanks, Berny |
