The pics pretty much tell the story. It seems to work. The surround is still somewhat pliable and the spider seems fine. The crossover consists of a single 'lytic. Yours for $5 +shipping.

I've still got it. The Purple Speaker would also be a good option on the cheap. Might last a little longer too (the surround on the Akai is pretty stiff, so I wouldn't push it too hard). I have lonely singles, one with a big whizzer and one with a dustcap only (both already glued on). I'd be happy to get rid of either for $16 +shipping. Let me know, I'm headed to Fed Ex in a couple of hours.

Can you send me a picture of what you have? I would rather have a whizzer than a seperate tweeter, and one with just a dustcap may fit the bill better. Any singles with alnico? PM me.

Do you have any pairs left, or just the singles? If singles, than I would opt for the one with dustcap only, but I think it would be fun to try a pair. BTW the amp is only a 8w, SET. Let me know and I will paypal you.
