I have for sale some rare Mullard EL35. Reasonably though not perfectly matched quad and a spare. These are so hard to find that a perfect match would be difficult. New in box.
Three have what looks to me like mesh anodes. Data are basically KT66 Hard to price these so contact me (London UK) and we can talk about a price. Previously a quad (unmatched) went on ebay for £140 so somebody is collecting these. These are reckoned to be superb tubes, see: EL35 @ The National Valve Museum Here are some user comments - "These are for sure the best valves ever made by Mullard. I have just tried them this Saturdaay at 15:00 GMT on a pair of Leak 12.1 and they are Magic!!!!!! Both me and my friend agreed that they are by far better than KT66 on the bass and midrange" "Mullard EL35 - Mullard's equivalent for the KT66 - these were not made for very long as they were superceded first by the EL37 and latterly the EL34. Many affectionados prefer the sound of this beam tetrode which has only slightly lower ratings than GECs KT66 and some say a smoother sound - and there's the added cachet of owning and running a quite scarce valve type too!" |
