I have 3 Sorensen (Raytheon) SSD-48-4 switch mode power supplies up for grabs. They will do 42 to 54 V, specified 48V 4 amps. Input selectable @115 or 220V, 47 to 62 Hz.
These are pretty "vintage" for SMPS but they work, probably were for use in a telephone switching station, although they don't appear to be used. $40 each, all 3 for $100. They will fit in a USPS Large Flat Rate Box so shipping is $14 via priority mail in the US, $33 Canada and Mexico, $54 ROW -- all 3 will fit in one box. ![]() Switching noise appears to be about 26mV @41kHz on top of 48V = -65dB Last edited by jackinnj; 12th December 2009 at 03:11 PM. |

I have 4 of the supplies -- found another -- so here's the deal -- 4 for $120.
The noise cited in the first post is about the max -- one measured only 7mV, another 21mV. A pair of these would really be dandy for an amplifier. 10.5*5.25*3.375 inches. |
