Default The BEST drivers available at ANY price! RAAL, Beyma, AE, Aurasound, and more!

I have spent several months collecting what many would consider the best drivers available at any price, in anticipation of the ultimate loudspeaker build. However, to finance an engineering research project, I will be forced to part with these fantastic drivers. Instead, the money derived from the selling of these drivers will be allocated towards a variety of materials for high cycle fatigue behavior testing of ribbon loudspeakers and a workstation capable of solving a fully coupled multi-physics model to contrast with the collected experimental data.

All audio equipment available in this thread is BRAND NEW.

RAAL 140-15D drivers.
-To quote Edwin van der Kley, "Dear Alex, after analyzing many higher frequency drivers for our loudspeaker production, we came to the conclusion that the RAAL ribbons are of the highest quality one can find. Our advanced Comsol multiphysics software is used for modelling the loudspeakers. The test of your various models reveals that –if filtered correctly- the results in sound quality are astonishingly good. Very high sound levels can be reached with moderate distortion. The speed and dampening are exemplary. Tolerances are good and stability in practical use is excellent.
So we decided to use your products for our new production series of two of our brand-names, the Crystal loudspeaker and the Pantheon XX (by Siltech)."

These are widely regarded as the most pure high frequency transducers available, Alek built these particular drivers specifically for the Burning Amp festival.

Beyma TPL150 Air Motion Transformers.
-Initially developed by Oskar Heil, these drivers combine incredible output capability with an insanely linear response, ultra low distortion, a potential 1khz crossover point, and a monopole or dipole radiating characteristic depending upon your preference. It's not too often you'll see a direct radiator spank a compression driver.

StigErik uses these drivers in his impressive dipole loudspeaker.

$400/each, 2 available

Aurasound NS15,
-Unanimously considered the best subwoofers available at any price, these drivers are used in several systems exceeding $100,000. However, they have recently become unobtainable on the retail market.
Magico Loudspeaker Systems
$600/each, 4 available

Acoustic Elegance TD15M drivers with the optional Apollo upgrade,
-"The Lambda Series TD drivers are setting a new higher standard for performance and durability. Designed for punishing professional use, they also have the clean sound needed for critical monitoring and audiophile uses. The TD15M is a high sensitivity (98dB), high power handling, wide bandwidth driver of which there is no comparison. These drivers are capable of reproducing frequencies of up to 2Khz off axis, and much higher with a more narrow dispersion pattern.

They are rated for 500W continuous power handling. Power compression is perhaps the lowest of ANY woofer currently available due to the combination of shorting rings and the phase plug. As a result, inductance and distortion is also extremely low.

These drivers feature the optional Apollo upgrade (+$200), which massively increases the drivers heat sinking ability (power handling) and dramatically lowers their distortion profile. I waited 6 months to receive these custom drivers.
$350/each, 2 available

Dayton RSS390HF,
-"The Dayton Reference Series subwoofers take the quality and performance of the much acclaimed RS line into the subwoofer realm. As with the rest of the Reference Series, the main focus of these subwoofers is ultra-low-distortion. Second, third, and intemodulation distortion are kept extremely low by utilizing three short-circuit paths within the motor structure. A durable aramid fiber spider and extensive venting throughout provide quiet and uniform excursion. The black anodized cone, rubber surround, and custom basket give this driver a unique, high-end look." These drivers are an extremely high value and will provide a low distortion performance comparable to drivers costing several times more.
$115/each, 2 available

Peerless HDS tweeter,
-To quote Zaph, "Peerless finally creates a world class tweeter to compete with the best from Seas and Scan-Speak. Very low distortion levels and smooth, controllable response." These drivers have also recently become unobtainable on the retail market.
Zaph|Audio
$75/each, 2 available

Peerless 831882,
-To quote Zaph, "This is the 5.5" flagship of the Peerless line. It's touted as having low distortion, and it lives up to that.". These drivers are a fantastic value and will provide a response comparable to the best Scan Speak has to offer.
Zaph|Audio
$55/each, 2 available

Behringer DCX2496
-The Ultradrive Pro DCX2496 is the ultimate digital loudspeaker management system with an unheard-of audio quality and feature list. It is an indispensable tool for the precise set-up of multiple loudspeaker systems or arrays. The processor includes 24-bit/96 kHz converters for signal integrity and wide dynamic range (113 dB), as well as Butterworth, Bessel and Linkwitz-Riley filters with slopes from 6 to 48 dB/octave.
$250, 1 available

Crown XLS 602D
This amplifier provides an extreme 380 watts x 2 @ 8ohms, 600 watts x 2 @ 4ohms, and 1200 watts @ 8ohms bridged with only .5% THD. It is almost guaranteed you won't approach the limits of this powerful amplifier.
$350, 1 available

Once again, all drivers/equipment are BRAND NEW.

Prices do not including shipping/handling or paypal. If Interested, please send me a PM.

Best Regards,
Thadman

Not that I'm aware of.
