CHCH, NZ: What happened to Elequip?

I was driving down Cashel Street the other day and thought I'd stop to check his open times, and was horrified to see his shop empty

Cleaned out! Where has Elequip gone? That place was a treasure trove

He had stacks and stacks of old radio gear

boxes of valve sockets, of connectors, trafos, capacitors, resistors, knobs, pots blah blah blah, mostly in piles on the floor or trestles around the place. Wasn't tidy but there was lots there

Last I heard, old Charlie Field was out of the game. I think Geoff Edwards (Valve Radio Spares, Lyttelton) ended up with the residue of the glassware (though Charlie had been flogging off the bottles via Trademe for years previous).
