These are the parts from the stalled Pass Monster project. I'll offer the package of parts for anyone bold enough to build mega-amps (or appeal to The Master to continue The Monster).
I'll let it ride for a few weeks before reverting to parceling stuff out on eBay. Total weight is likely over 1000 pounds, so locals have an advantage. I'm in Carlsbad, CA 92009.

(288) (minus yield loss) 25,000uF, 250VDC screw terminal electrolytic capacitors.
(12) 2.9kVA (derated by reduced operating voltage) 208VAC to 120VAC potted toroidal transformers (mounted).
(24) 8,000uF, 100VDC screw terminal electrolytic capacitors (mounted).
(24) Semikron 30A, 1200V bridge rectifiers (mounted).
(48) 0.1 Ohm, 25 Watt aluminum power resistors (mounted) for current sharing.
(24) ?? Ohm, 50 Watt aluminum power resistors (mounted) for soft-start/discharge.
(12) AC filter/inrush boards.
(12) DC filter boards.
(12) Really big MOVs.
(6) DPST 250VAC, 25A relays with 24VDC coils (mounted) for soft-start.
(6) DPST 250VAC, 25A relays with 120VAC coils (mounted) for discharge.
(6) 125VAC, 20A power cords.
(6) 125VAC, 20A power entry modules.
(24) Machined plastic "8-pack" capacitor separation plates.
(72) Capacitor clamp rods and spacers.
(6) 25A, ??V bridge rectifiers (mounted) for earth ground loop break.

what a pity, I loved following that project, I like big.
Why were you making so many, it looks like enough transformer base plates to make several of these amps, or are they monoblocks? Either way love your work

There were to be six monoblocks total: two for Papa, two were for Zero Cool (early partner) and two for me. The picassa web album shows a couple concept drawings. Each monoblock had three stacked chassis. The bottom chassis contained the trafos, rectifiers, soft-start and RF filters. The center chassis was a massive bank of capacitors and possible inductors for CLC filtering. The top chassis is where the magic was to happen.

The original plan was that these were to be Monoblocks, 2 for Casey, 2 for me and 2 for N.P.

ah I see, cant remember that on the thread. S the rails of these was going to be around 170V DC, is that right.

I believe it comes out a bit over 190VDC with 120VAC in.

Those pics of the caps made my jaw drop. I couldn't read the markings on them though. What kind are they?

edit: and out of curiosity, how many transformers does it take to get plitron to send you a Plitron coffee mug?

Hi Brian:

The capacitors are 26,000uF, 250WVDC.

As for the coffee mug, I think I bought 50 transformers for medical device prototypes I was working on at the time. Does anyone want to buy a $1000 coffee mug??? Anyone?
