Anybody have any used 15" woofers (8 Ohms) with an FS in the teens or low 20's?
P.S. Still hunting an Audax tmo25f1 tweeter if anyone has any! |

You want a matching pair don't you Bill??
Second hand Dayton Classic 15 ?? and add mass until Fs drops to desired frequency, put up with the drop in SPL & the sag can be fixed by rotating every year or two

Hi,
as you add mass the Q rises. If the Q is already medium, say 0.3 to 0.4 then it will probably rise too high for a vented enclosure. A sealed enclosure already has a raised resonant frequency that has little dependency on Fs so you have little to gain. In addition the efficiency/sensitivity falls with added mass. http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/showt...041#post701041 http://speakerworkshop.com/SW/Projec...***%20Test.htm http://techtalk.parts-express.com/sh....php?p=1582426 http://www.mlssa.com/pdf/MLSSA-SPO-Brochure.pdf http://sound.westhost.com/tsp.htm http://www.bcae1.com/speaker.htm google found these links.

Send me an email if interested. nate |
