Smile Sony SCD-777ES SACD player(Europe Model)

Hi, I have a spare Sony SCD-777 SACD player that I’m putting for sale. Please note that this is ONLY for European buyers.

This is one very unique SCD-777 which has been transformed into an SCD-1, it has the original SCD-1 balanced PCB with fully upgraded components

Send me a private email for more details only if you are seriously interested.

Thank you for looking
Felix

Since the many emails I have received inquiring about the SCD-777=SCD-1 components modifications, I’m listing below the components inside the player.

There are over 2000 Euros worth of high quality components installed.
- Audiocom SC4 with dedicated power supply
- Audiocom Super-regulator 3 (x8)
- Black Gate FK/K series
- Black Gate N/NX series
- Rubycon Elec caps
- Panasonic FC Elec caps
- Mundorf MCap SUPREME
- Mundorf MCap SUPREME silver/gold/oil (SACD Playback)
- Auricaps film caps
- Wima FKP2 1% film caps
- Silver Mica caps
- Audio Note TANTALUM RESISTORS
- Vishay Dale Resistors
- Royal ohm resistors
- Op-amps opa627
- Op-amps LME49720HA
- OP-amps OPA2132
- Mundorf silver wire

Duelund VSF capacitors on the output stage.

The player has a brand new laser unit.

I own an SCD-1 (NOT FOR SALE), my spare SCD-777 has very low hours.

Dear all,

I have heard this amazing player in our showroom.

For the showroom here is a link:

http://www.stereotimes.com/munich2009j.shtml

I must say that compared to my stock Reimyo CDP-777 the Sony was the clear winner on bass and slam, both on SACD and redbook. The highs were also absolutely stunning especially on SACD. The only point were the Reimyo was better was the width of the soundstage, here the Sony is more on the dense side.

It needs some time operating on the power lines to shine.

I was considering of buying the unit, but it does not have that status like the Reimyo which is important for our showroom.
But I am now starting to mod the Reimyo with the support from Felix.

Best regards
