Default 2 Different Aikidos for sale

1) Aikido 5687. Board fully populated, ready for power supply and hook-up. Built from the $135 kit from glassware.

Has Russian PIO in one capacitor slot and the other is up to you!

Will supply stock tubes: EH 6cg7 Phillips JAN 5687 + 1 pair RCA Cleartop 6cg7 and GE 5687.

Looking for $150 or make an offer.

Built to be mounted under chassis with tubes sticking through.

2) Aikido 24v with power supply SMPS and boatload of tubes

Fully built and partly burnt in 24v Aikido. This has been my preamp for several months and came in a very close second to a Manley Shrimp at a preamp shootout hosted by friends. Pres on hand were Manley, Aikido, VTL Deluxe, Odyssey Candela, and a SS op-amp pre.

Has Jantzen Z-superior in preamp output cap slot and 4uf motor-run caps in headphone spot.

Muy capacitance on the heater circuit and where ever else required. Caps are IC and Nichicon.

Headphone section is built but never tested. 2 of the LM317s have been removed because I had PSU issues with a previous SMPS I tried...not enough current to kickstart the heaters!!

PSU is a Power-One SMPS and has been bumped to 25.2v to supply 6.3v to heaters. My current makeshift chassis separates PSU from pre board and is noise free.

With the board and PSU will also come 11 6gm8. If you have looked for these recently you will have seen how pricey they are getting...most are clocking $20 or more a piece now.

You won't have to worry about that with nearly 3 tube change-outs available.

4 Russian 6n27p (my favorite) (about 50hrs on)
5 GE 6gm8 (Amperex) (about 10hrs on)
1 Siemens (Amperex) (NOS)
1 Siemens A-frame (NOS)

I also have an amperex labeled one somewhere, if someone buys I will find and you will have 3 sets...though the 3rd set will be kinda makeshift.

$500 in parts ($192 in parts, $45 in board, $270 in tubes) for $350 OBO
