GIANT 2mh 20amp Air Core Inductor.
This monster (pun intended) was a sample for a Monster project that never happened. it is wound with 6ga solid copper wire and is rated for 2mh at 20amps. Production price in 2004 was over $450. I believe copper cost's have come down since then???? The company that made this had never wound an inductor this large before. As i understand it, it took considerable force to wind this thing! The pictures don't do it justice. its as big as a coffee can and much heavier! I only have one of these. and i have no idea what its worth so im looking for offers. Maybe you can use it for your own rail gun, or make a giant electromagnet out of it or maybe you just have a really REALLY big speaker crossover??? |

If it was 20mH I may have been interested ( just for fun ) but I would never use a 2mH coil with that current capability
Keep it as a door stopper

Rather than dropping it off at the recyclers, I might be willing to pay shipping to 94558 if it isn't too expensive. It must weigh a fair amount.

Oh yeah its quite heavy. Im not sure what copper is going for these days but i know Aluminum is down quite a bit. Still it must be worth something.

Need another project like a hole in the head. Still, I wanted a low DCR 1 mh coil, and I suppose I could re-wind this into 2 smaller coils.
So how about $50 and I will pay shipping. Nope, not what it is worth, but there is a limit to how much I am willing to pay to have another project gather dust in the basement.
