I decided 8 Amps is enough I don’t need another (actually I am building #9 - 5 channels for the living room but that doesn’t count). So I decided to sell the parts I have collected for a Pass F5 clone. I am selling at what the parts cost me $280 US, don’t bothering offering me less as I would just as soon build it as take a loss. All parts are new & unused.
Included is: 2 Large heat sinks ( a bit unusual in milling on component side) Black on fin side and they look new. Plytron 18V 300VA toroid transformer new. Cviller power-supply board populated with 8 15000 MFD 63 V caps & 6 .47 OHM resisters. 6amp filtered power entry module w fuse holder & switch 2 10 A rectifiers 4 Manly rubber feet. Cviller F5 boards. Tec DIY Fairchild F5 kits ( one board components mounted to verify fit (did not mount fets). Gold plated speaker and RCA terminals All for $280 US + frt Bill |

Hi Bill,
What else if needed other than enclosure? Did you have an enclosure in mind? Never built an amp so it would be a stretch for me, but this seems doable. Thanks, Thom |

You would have to come up with the enclosure, I would mount some 3/8 X 3/8 square aluminum bars on the heat sinks and screw plates for the front back and top and bottom to them, and of course some wire, I have been using the Teflon coated stuff Steve at Apex jr sells. I would not say this is a beginner project however as amp projects go they don't get much simpler. It is well documented and when completed it would be a keeper as the F5 is an outstanding sounding amp. I decided to make a few upgrades on my F4s and continue using them. If the metal thing is an issue I need to buy and cut some up for myself I could cut some for you but it will drive shipping up.
