I have a Crown K2 amplifier for sale. This is a high-power amplifier, with a switching output stage, providing excellent bass control (ideal for subwoofers, doesn't sound TOO great full-range, IMHO).
Specs are: (from http://www.crownaudio.com/pdf/legacy/136713.pdf) continuous RMS power in watts stereo: @ 8 ohms: 500 @ 4 ohms: 800 @ 2 ohms: 1,250 (stable!) mono: @ 8 ohms: 1,600 @ 4 ohms: 2,500 Specifications from Crown: http://www.crownaudio.com/pdf/legacy/136713.pdf Some reviews: http://home.earthlink.net/~mixthat/par/crownk2.html http://www.stereotimes.com/amp031302.shtml Amplifier was on tour with a band that didn't take good care of it, and so does NOT look brand new. Looks pretty beat up, but works great. I defeated the sleep circuit as it would switch the amp to standby when the signal was too low. As I was using it in my home stereo, the signal was ALWAYS too low and so it would constantly switch off. I got the instructions on defeating the sleep circuit from a Crown tech. Asking $350 firm. Would much prefer to sell to someone in the vicinity of Los Angeles, but can ship for around $50 if necessary. The amp is currently in my stereo and so can definitely be tested by the buyer. |

Interested in a trade for speakers/drivers? I'm in OC, so we wouldn't have to cross-ship, and I could use a sub amp while I get my UCD 400 up and running (been pending fer years)

I actually also have too many drivers, AND am working on finishing up a stereo set of UCD400 amplifiers...
Drivers available: 2 x RS225-4 (brand new, in box) 2 x RS225-4 (bought used, haven't got around to project in mint condition) 4 x Vifa M10MD39-08 (incredibly natural 4" paper cone mid) cheers, -Tal |
