For sale is a pair of Tonegen/Tonigen type ribbon tweeters as used in the legendary Townshend Audio Glastonbury II Speakers, they need one capacitor and are ruler flat from their crossover point of about 6k to 20k and also have a superb sound, comparable to anything. Hi Fi World did a group test of ribbons some years ago, including the Howard Dawson HRL-1, and these were the best.

In the April 1998 Supplement, the Tonigen is tested without a crossover by using a sweep from 500Hz to 50kHz. "Considerably flatter than a conventional dome tweeter, it runs smoothly from 6kHz to 20kHz ... This one delivers no less than 92.5dB sound pressure level from 2.8v input ... To achieve this Tonigen have used a low impedance of four ohms" The corresponding impedance plot is ruler flat. They reach up to 50 khz but do roll off after 20kHz.
