I know, first time poster, with an ad. I always read this forum for DIY tips and ideas, but I honestly have never posted until today.
I am hard up for cash for car repairs and such and have a few things to sell, 2 of them are Fosgate FG4200 amps. There is a problem with them, water (only water) spilled in one side of each of them, I immediately pulled the power supply's leads off of the left side amp boards on both so they wouldn't fry after powering them off. So, only half the amp is working, but I'm sure one of you guys could probably fix the 2 channels that are non-functional, I just haven't had the time to work on it. These are 4 channel amps - somewhere around 60 pounds I would guess - they are an older version of the Citation 5.1 series amps I think. Designed by Zed Audio, they have 10 transistors per channel, and can be bridged also. I think they are something like 150W @ 8 ohms. The toroid in these things is the biggest I personally have ever seen. I contacted Zed audio also, and they said they still can repair them. I currently have them connected to NHT Classic 3's and they will send you out of the room with the amount of power available. I will post pics when I get a chance to get home. I have a crazy work schedule now, so not much time for my toys. We had lay-offs, so now I have to pick up others' slack. Make offer? Just message or email me, thanks. jtieman@gmail.com Thanks, Jeff Tieman |
