In Excellent Condition, with the original screw-type adapter (I did throw away the cheap carrying bag). No problems at all. These phones received little coverage here. In my opinion, they are very honest phones with exceptional extension and very good sound stage (they are close after all). I have owned ATH-M40s and Sony 7506s (only counting the studio phones), both of which were bettered by M50s, mostly due to M50s' as-accurate presentation yet bigger sound stage and deeper (yet tight) bass -- M50s employ larger drivers. If you are looking at closed phones with flat response and decent sound stage, M50s will suit your need better than M40s and 7506s. They are not very flavorful and brutally honest, the way I like. If you are interested in official reviews, here is one for M40s, which, in my opinion, is M50 minus big sound stage and some bass extension.
http://web.archive.org/web/200011090...co.uk/archive/ click headphones and search for ATH-M40 Pay me $65 at mudihan@gmail.com through Paypal, and I will ship them via USPS priority to the lower 48 states. Shipping extra to anywhere else. I haven't sold a lot here at HeadFi, but do have a few feedbacks, which were all positive. Please use the above email address for communication. Thank you! |
