The overall dimensions for each unit are 210x155x320mm (whd). The front panels and bases are 12mm thick, and the sides are constructed from large heatsinks 150x160x40mm bought from RS 490-7078 which total in at over £125 for eight in today's prices. Each chassis comes in at 7kg and exhibits a thermal resistance of less than 0.15degC/W.
The rectangular cutout in each base is designed to suit an encapsulated Nuvotem 0500P1 torroidal transformer. These are available from RS with dual secondary windings of 25V, 30V, 35V, 40V, 45V, 50V, 55V to suit your chosen PSU requirements. Also in each base are 6 through-holes tapped for M8 bolts. The front panels are bolted to the heatsinks with 4x M5 bolts. Each lid is secured by 12x M3 bolts. All bolts are stainless steel. There are no rear panels; these can be sourced from http://www.frontpanelexpress.com/ once the required cutouts have been determined. These will be posted on ebay (uk) from 19:30 on 7th Feb 2009 for 7 days. |

I will ship to wherever, on the condition that payment is by paypal. Please also be aware that due to the weight of these (~30kg), shipping outside of the uk will be expensive and not included in the delivery charge quoted on ebay.

Well, it would be great if I could recoup on my original investment. The raw materials came to around £250.
There are plenty of people watching the auction, so I've got my fingers crossed. Good luck. |
