Default WTB: ScanSpeak 15Ws, RTA mic, DCX2496, 60vct or 70vct transformers.

I'm looking for all of the above items. The stuff I'm selling is listed on the link below, and I am very much interested in trading whenever possible.

I'm not entirely sure off-hand - I'm still a little fuzzy on the difference myself.

I've been told that the coated versions have a smoother frequency response, and I need the non-midrange version that can run as a woofer (as opposed to 200hz on up.)

Hm I have had 20 diferent versions of scan speak sliced papers 15w. :-)

there is two main diferencies between all 15w
1) Voice coil former material
2) Voice coil height

In stock models(which you can see in tymphany) there is two versions K(stands for kapton VC former) and G(stands for glass fibre VC former)

From these two Glass fibre better suited to low frequencies (due sligtly better “brakes”) while K version is better for midrange

There is also exotic versions like paper VC former, Aluminium and even titanium VC formers( I have customs 18wcustoms revelators with titanium former and ultra thin aluminium and they kills sliced paper in most aspects) . I like Aluminium and titanium VC formers in 15w very much.

As for voice coil heights 15m drivers has short VC(less excursion, bigger eficienty in midrange, lower weight) , 15w longer VC (more excursion, lower eficienty by 1.5db or so)

There is also diferenciens in sliced papers cones stock are low or no fibers added, customs –has more, also cone stiffness went up, but slightly more pronounced break ups are.

So probably from stock driver G version is way to go for you
