Wanted - 2SK414/2SJ119

Hi, restoring an old inca tech amp and need 2 pairs of 2SK414/2SJ119 - wondered if anyone has any before I pay through the nose!

Have tried 2SK1529/2SJ200 as replacements and, without further investigation, am getting distortion in both channels, so would like to track down originals if I can

You could try replacing the whole lot with IRFP240 and IRFP9240 with a little bit of tweaking to the bias. This would be a lot cheaper. They are not quite as good as the original devices, but you can get good results with them.

Have Toshiba's 2SJ115/2SK405 but no Hitachi's 2SK414/2SJ119.

Thanks Folks. I'll keep looking for the moment. Housing - are the toshiba fets you have very similar to the Hitachi? I've read threads where amps containing those fets have been mentioned in the same breath as the hitachi ones.

You better check up the data sheets here to see how they are different from each other. Getting the original 2SJ/2SK will surely save you some trouble from bias adjustment .....etc

Thanks. There are some differences, namely gate-source cut-off voltage and drain-source saturation voltage, so perhaps they re not dopin replacements. Look very similar otherwise.
