Default FS: Onkyo SE-90PCI 24bit/192kHz Soundcard

http://www.jp.onkyo.com/wavio/90pci/

Not available outside Japan afaik, I've been using this for about a year in my home desktop and it's awesome.

Straight up 2-channel RCA output. 24bit 192kHz 110 dB S/N.

review here...

I concur 100%.

The board is as new, with instructions and manual, but no box or RCA cable. There are two mounting brackets, one for normal size cases, one for half height, media PC cases.

Asking $100, worldwide shipping included.

Please email if interested.

Let me try to tell you some more about this, as the web site is in Japanese.

There is an optical digital out as well as analog L-R RCA. That's it for the I/O.

Based on the Via Envy24MT controller. Nominal specs are 110dB s/n, 0.3-44kHz to 0.5 dB, digital throughput to 24bit 192kHz.

Wolfson WM8716SEDS 24bit 192kHz DAC (equivalent to Burr Brown 1716 according to here, Silmic and OS-CON caps, copper center shield/groundplane... even little damping tape applied to critical caps. It's remarkably hardcore.

Drivers:

XP or w2k should work without issue direct from the install CD.

Under Vista works fine with Vista native drivers if you leave it stock. If you want to install the configuration utility, though, you have a choice: use the one provided by Onkyo which is in Japanese and does not support Vista 64 or use the driver from Via instead which is newer and supports the 64 bit OS but is not customized for the specific card.
