I built this amp just for fun to play around with. I have posts all over the forum about it. I'm selling it now to go towards a non-DIY amp.(Gasp!) Condition It's not perfect. It could benefit from improvements. It works. For a few months I played cd's with it into some big huge vintage speakers. So it won't blow anything up. Now it has the guitar preamp in it and that works fine too. If you buy it, you can always remove that and put whatever you want in front of the power amp board. I would simply remove the bright switch wires. It is too close to everything else and is unneeded. I'm willing to part it out if nobody wants it as-is Useful Parts I purchased the official boards form Rod Elliot at the time(last summer) The boards are populated There is a large heat sink on the back 6 Jacks, all required pots, a switch, a cool green LED It's in one of those rack mount boxes left over from a previous incarnation. http://www.antekinc.com/AN-2225.pdf Toroidal Transformer that I paid over $40 for Largish sized heatsink with a fin removed for mounting. Masking tape labels Poweramp board Masking tape is anchoring everything down. You might want to fix that. IDK it's working fine for me. Wiring could be improved. The price is negotiable. Just PM me if you are interested in any of it. |
