Hi folks!
Yep you heard correctly, and I'm not mad (well not much!) : One v.good condition 401 motor unit, serviced by Loricroft, then re-serviced (!) by myself earlier this year. Serial No. 02735. Nice earlier version with decent brown paint job, and the built-in strobe light (rather than the 'plonked on top' strobe on later versions). One or two TINY chips to the paint work in top right corner. Runs v.stable, no rumble (though of course this is plinth dependant!). Welcome to have a listen first. I already have a Garrard 301 which my Uncle gave me, and for that nostalgic reason it stays and the 401 must go. As a bonus I have an SME 3009 Series II which I'll include free, but this will undoubtedly need a service I imagine. I'd like to swap it for a v.good condition and smooth running Mitchell Gyrodec (arm not needed, nor is the 401 offered with one). For pictures please e-mail me at: john_s_may AT hotmail DOT com - John |
