Default Nye Damping grease for knobs, tonearm lifts, etc. Cheap!

I mistaken used a harsh cleaner on the knobs of my Marantz reciever which washed away the damping grease. I love the nice textured, sleek feel of a damped stereo knob, so I was heartbroken. I searched all over the place and the only company that makes professional damping grease is a company called Nye. Unfortunately, they don't really like small time orders or customers. The cheapest "sample" case they offer is $90 (good luck getting free samples, I tried). About 10 grams apparently costs nearly $40. After months of looking, I finally scored a ONE POUND jar of Nye Flourocarbon Gel type 868H from an industrial reseller. It should be just the right one for stereo knobs. It can also be used on turntable armlifts and has anyother number of uses. Here are some links. http://www.lubekits.com/?load=grease http://www.nyelubricants.com/pdf/868hms_copy.pdf http://www.nyeautomotive.com/868series.htm It is WAY more than I need to restore the feel to one knob! I'm looking for people who might need some of this to bring back the new knob feel to knobs they cleaned or messed up cleaning to help me defray the cost of buying this large quantity. If you're interested in getting some, PM me here. As I said, about 10 grams sells for $30-40. I sell 10 grams in a syringe holder, shipped for $10.

I forgot to mention a classic use for this grease. If you have a tape deck door that falls open instead a smoothly, slowly sliding out...? This is the stuff to restore that silky movement. If interested, I'll sell to DYers here for $8, instead of ten dollars. That's about 30 dollars cheaper than NYE. Email me at trackin g force@ yah oo.com

Hi,
do you still have that 868H? I'd like to buy some.
