Default Brand New Behringer DCX2496

Microsoft has a new service called Live Cash Back which allows you to purchase items from multiple websites and get money back. Well, they partnered with Paypal and Ebay a few months ago and rolled out a program that if you purchase anything on Ebay with a Buy It Now and pay with Paypal you get money back. They started out with 35% back (yes, you read that right!) and dropped it down to 10%. Now, it's back up to 30% off. I purchased three items with the 35% off and got my money back, no problem. I just recently purchased an iPod Touch 8GB for $160 shipped.

I did purchase a DCX2496 for my new 3-way dipoles but lately am working on a 4-way version instead and decided I don't need it as I'm going with a computer based solution. What a great time to put it on Ebay to get the most I can for it and get someone else a great deal. I posted it for sale for $269.98 shipped and it will be less than $190 after the cash back deal. Here's the link:

I'm off to see Robin Williams live now and am thinking of putting some more stuff up for sale tonight and will post it here. I think this is a great time for others to unload audio gear and other goodies, post the link here, so fellow audio nuts can snag it at 30% off. If you do, be sure to list it as a FIXED PRICE auction only with Paypal mandatory.

I only wish Zaph would have put those Scan Speaks up for a Buy It Now so the 30% would apply. I would have snagged those very quickly!

Just got a PM asking if I had other stuff for sale. Well, yes I do! I've been torn whether or not to sell my laptop that I bought on an impulse and decided I probably should. Got it in early April, used for maybe 50 hours total to surf the web and play a few games. To anyone interested, here are the stats:

For starters you can visit the Dell site's Service Tag lookup which will show you it has 170 days of on-site warranty left and an additional year of on-site warranty.

http://support.dell.com/support/topi...04&l=en&s=hied

Then type this number in, which is on the bottom of my laptop: CTV1YF1

You can also see the specs there but it's much easier to read them here:

Intel® Core 2 Duo T7250 (2.0GHz/800Mhz FSB/2MB cache)
17.0 inch Wide Screen XGA+ LCD Display with TrueLife
1GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 667MHz, 2 DIMM
256MB NVIDIA® GeForce 8600M GT
120GB 5400RPM Hard Drive
Genuine Windows® XP Home Edition, SP2
Integrated 10/100 Network Card and Modem
8X CD/DVD+RW Read and Burn CD and DVD
Integrated High Definition Audio
Dell Wireless 1395 802.11g Wi-Fi Internal Card
Microsoft® Works 9. Does NOT Include MS Word
56 WHr 6-cell Lithium Ion Primary Battery (barely used; almost always plugged in)
1394 Firewire and Memory card reader
Swiss Gear SIERRA Single Gusset Computer Case
2 Year Basic Limited Warranty and 2 Year NBD On-Site Service
56 WHr 6-cell Lithium Ion Additional Battery (New Dell policy is to buy an extended battery warranty, NOT an additional battery)
Dell Wireless 355 Bluetooth Internal (2.0 + Enhanced Data Rate)

The only downfall to this laptop is the 1GB of RAM, which, is actually plenty for Windows XP. RAM is dirt cheap these days and you can upgrade to 2 or 4 GB for about $40 if you felt the need. Or, if you wanted to, I could do that for you and send it already upgraded. As is, though, it's fine.

This laptop was right at $1400 equipped and I picked it up when Dell was running an outrageous deal for $500 off if you configure a system over $1299. This one was right at $900 with the carrying case, additional battery that's still new and an additional 2 year warranty.

All I'm looking for is $775 with insurance, shipped via UPS. Then you get 30% back ($200 in this case as that's the max) and you have a killer laptop for $575. Try to configure one like this on Dells site. Good luck!

Let me know if you have any questions.

I hear ya, but with ebay and Paypal taking money you're talking about 7.5% being taken out. If you up shipping you get hit less by ebay (shipping not charged fees).

I recently sold a laptop on ebay for $670 and ended up with $45 in fees between the two. I think I'm in the wrong business!

We all are.

It's not clear to most that that is what you are doing (supplementing the lowered price with the shipping charge).
I emailed a seller about the outrageous amount he wanted for shipping, calling him a shyster, a crook. He calmly emailed me back explaining the situation, how his selling price was that much lower than other sellers, leaving me slightly flustered.
A lesson learned.

MS dropped it down to 20% now. I updated the listing and dropped it $10 more.
