I have changed direction with one of my commercial products, and have six plate amps that have been mounted into boxes but never used.
The amp is the Dayton SA240, sold by Parts Express. Class A/B amp rated at 240 watts into 4 ohms and 170 watts into 8 ohms, with both line level (RCA) and speaker-level inputs. The best part about this amp is, it has a 4th order slope (24 dB per octave) variable low-pass filter (40 - 180 Hz). This steep slope allows you greater subwoofer placement flexibility than the far more common 2nd order slope because it does a better job of preventing lower midrange energy from leaking through and giving away the subwoofer's location. In my opinion this steep slope low-pass filter is crucial to getting a good blend with the main system, otherwise it's all too likely that the sub will thicken up the lower midrange region even if placed close enough to the mains to not give away its location.

These plate amps have been mounted into a subwoofer cabinet, but not used beyond a quick "does it work" function check. The push-on terminals for connection to a woofer have been clipped off, and I have lost track of the power cords so they are not included.
Note that Dayton makes two versions of this amp, one with and one without bass boost. The ones I am selling are the version WITHOUT bass boost. Please don't ask me to modify them to incorporate bass boost; that's not being offered here.
I used this amp in early versions of my Swarm multi-piece subwoofer system, so if you take a look at these online comments you are reading about a system that used ONE of these plate amps:

I think this is the plate amp that Earl Geddes uses in his bandpass subs. I have noticed this plate amp in at least one commercial subwoofer that sells for over $1300 each.
The catalog price for this plate amp is $139.46 plus shipping and I am offering mine for $69 each plus shipping. In most cases the cheapest shipping method will be in large Priority Mail flat-rate boxes for $12.95.
