A pair of Sowter 8347C I/V transformers. These are the PC mount type, not the ones with flying leads. Less stranded wire in the signal path; and still easy to solder to if not PC mounted.
http://www.sowter.co.uk/specs/8347.htm Similar sonics to the older peerless iron. Eliminates ground loops, solves ground return issues. No filters or power supplies required of course. Lowish voltage out, not a problem if feeding a preamp. Surprisingly good bottom end, not what might be expected from iron I/V. $100 for the pair shipped USPS. |
