Before I knew about Jan Didden's mods to the DCX I tried to build my own 6-channel volume control.
Goals: 1. Remote volume control 2. Individual volume control of all channels 3. Balanced output 4. Output display (No screen yet) I have everything mounted in a case and ready to work accept the PIC microcontroller. I really think this is the problem. I never understood these things in undergrad and I still don't understand it today. From http://electronics.dantimax.dk/ (1) Remote 1 kit (1) Alps RK27 log motorpot 10kohms (1) 28 mm black knob (3) Alps RK16 linear motorpot 10kohms (3) 16mm black knobs (1) Philips RU151 universal TV remote There are TPA microcontrollers from the Kookaburra design made by the Twisted Pear Audio guys. The microcontroller sends the serial data to the volume control chip. OPA2227 opamps for input and output buffering. Gold IC sockets. Mute relays. 0-5V input to volume control +/-15V supply parts Anybody want to take on this volume control or does anyone want the parts? Make me offers if you are interested. |
