WTB: Some nice cheap KT88s please...

Hi

I have need of a matched quad of KT88s to replace the ones in my valve amp. The ones I have are nearing the end of their lives and are cheap chinese jobs (branded 'National').

The amp isn't anything special and I may think about replacing it soon so I don't want to spend much - Has anyone got some used KT88s kicking about? Not looking for anything grand, just some good honest working tubes with a bit of life left in them. If they were an improvement over my existing ones, so much the better.

I had thought about buying a quad of Electro Harmonix (at about £90) but want to spend considerably less than that if poss.

While I think about it, if anyone knows of a source of chinese 6n2, 6n6 and 6n11 (I need two of each) I'd be grateful.

I'm based in the UK.

i have some russian 6n3 tubes.that are in your price range....but i am not sure if they will work for your kt88 application. does anyone else know about this?

but as far as "cheap" kt88.....thats a tough one.

ok......i have two 6550 phillips ECG tubes. if you can use these as a sub
