I purchased this unit about a year ago. The previous owner had the transport mechanism replaced right before I purchased it. It reads cds fine and looks very good 9/10, but there is something wrong with the sound. I only use it as a cd player. The sound coming out sounds like mono. Sound comes out of both channels with no distortion, but sounds like mono. There is no separation. May dac is not functional, so I can't try the digital output and I don't have it hooked up to a tv, so I can't comment on picture. I am asking $250.00 plus shipping and paypal for it. These are going for $500.00+ elsewhere. It may be a very simple fix. The transport works great. No skipping and it reads all cds I put in. Cosmetics are also very good. I do have the remote. I wanted to post here first for a week before sending it to Audiogon. Make me a reasonable offer and it's yours. I need to replace it with a cd player. It is being sold as is.

Trade??? Make me and offer. The California Audio Lab CL-2500 DVD retailed for $2500.00. This unit is in great physical condition. I have the original box, manual and remote. It will even upsample and I think it will do it over it's digital outs. There are three digital outs, balanced, rca and toslink. It also has separate digital outsm rca and toslink for dolby digital and dts.
