Default Nippon elco 12.000/63V - Interesting?

I can get my hands on 2000 poeces of SMH type elco's of Nippon.
12000/63 The asking price is $5 a piece@2000

Is this a good deal?

If it is, 2000 elco's is a bit much to use then all myself.
Anyone interested to join me with this deal?

Also available from the same source: 10.000/80V same price@500

Does anyone know when these are produced?

Seems to me that 070398 means 07/03/1998... production date.
For the qty, 200 units as shown on the pic, not 2000.
Nothing on Google.

If possible, I'd ask for a sample, and test if they're still ok. 9 years of shelf life is maybe critical.

Well, I'd measure the capacitance, and power one up to the rated voltage and see if it goes *bang*

$5 each? Doesn't seem like a great price when you can buy a similar cap new in quantity for only $3.30:

Naah, 5$ each is ok here in Europe. Don't forget the shipping and the VAT.

....but it turns a real bad deal when you take a look at http://www.apexjr.com/capacitorsR.html

1.99 can't go wrong even including VAT and shipping
