Default Original Connoisseur BD1 motor.

I have a motor for the original Connoisseur BD1 up for grabs. This early motor is considerably different to the late 70s motor in that it has a clutch-driven brass pulley and is mounted via a square plate with soft rubber grommets. Interestingly, it has a pressed steel gantry across the bottom of the motor intended for a screw to drive onto the bottom of the motor shaft. If you have an early BD1 that needs this motor, then it is yours for the postage.

The motor was given to me by a colleague at work who is having a clear-out. I have tested it and it works, but it's a bit dusty (well, it would be, it's >30 years old). Note that this motor is completely different to the later BD1 motor with plastic pulley and rubber band mounting arrangement.

Hard to say. With sufficient time and tools anything can be fitted to anything. The most important question is whether the platter is the same - if it isn't, the pulley will be wrong.
