I have 10 pairs used subject dual fets for sales. Parts are removed from other equipments but had been checked for Idss and function well. The only problem is the fets are with short legs but they are all ok to put into a pcb with proper layout.
Idss is from 11.5 to 15 mA, all purchase must be in pairs and I shall match them within 1mA Idss.
Price for matched pairs is $10 (one K389 and one J109)
Price for matched quad is $24 (two K389 and two J109)
Postage is $3 for registered airmail.

will they send you LSJ109 ,too?

But the 389 is used in more places than the 109.

Can you advise to all member where can we found dual fets for LSJ109 and LSK389. I think there are many member want to get new parts instead of used or obsolete parts for our projects.
www.linearsystems.com
LSK389 costs $3 a piece, even in rather small qualities and they have them in stock. There is no LSJ109 as of yet.
Paul Norton is a very pleasant person to deal with. His e-mail is paul_norton||at|| linears ... .com
Curva,
this is how I work out the cost!
$3 x 40 pcs, 20 pairs = $120. Sorting/marking labor 2hrs $20. Sorting equipment no count!
Total is $140 and hopefully you get about 10 pairs matched to within 0.5mA ( I match to 0.1 to 0.2mA). Thus each pair will cost $140 / 10 = $14 for two pcs. To match quads is even harder!
At the end you will get about 10 pcs not match but you dont want to use it cause you know it is not matched. One choice is to sell it without matching to other people or you buy another 10 pairs to match and sell ..... It is not a fun game and I can see some member is doing this for other matched parts.
Of couse we are not talking about J109 here and all K389 only.
I believe all my buyers do not think it is too much overpriced.
Thanks for all the support.

Talking about matching, there is a huge difference between 0.1 to 0.2mA and 1mA.
Anyway, I am not the right person to judge the price. The buyers did it much better than me. I just find it expensive, therefore, I was not one of the buyers.
It's such a shame the 389's are not made anymore by Toshiba, the initial pricing was very good. The LSK's are hard to source locally, and even then, much more expensive than directly from the manufacturer. It's also strange that the pricing per pc. is the same whether you buy two dozen or 1000 of them. I think this suggests they have no production facilities at all.
Yes, 0.1 to 0.2mA is very difficult to get as the dual fet itself already got 0.1 to 0.5mA differences for V grade. Probably you get about 1 quad to this limit out of 20 pairs.
To make it clear again, I match to 0.5 to 0.6ma (which is below 5%) for those jfet that I offer to members. Only those for my self up to 0.1 to 0.2mA.
I hope LS can make J109 but seems most of their parts are only N-channel. But with price of $3 will not help diyer much!
