I have been feeling my sound system is missing the low end and I wanted to fix this (problem is I dont have a lot of cash at the moment) so I found a old JBL PS60 Subwoofer on ebay and got it for $42 shipped...

6.5" Polypropylene Driver
50 Watt Rated RMS
Frequency Response 32Hz - 200Hz
Crossover Frequency(ies) 50Hz - 200Hz
Magnetically Shielded
11”x14”x7” [height width depth]

My question is where would be the best place to put it in my room? The room is preatty big about 17' by 17'. It will be connected to my old Technics EX510 receiver (Dolby Pro Logic 120Wx4) on the preamp subwoofer channel.

P.S.
Does anyone know anything about this sub (good or bad)?

hi thefish,

Well it's not a very large sub woofer you have chosen.

One simple but effective placement method:

Place the sub right where your ears would be placed when you normally listen.
Now while playing, move around in room and there you find the most satisfying bass sound, place the sub right there.
