With Next months paycheck i plan on augmenting my monitor audio radius's with a sub and have been pricing up options.
the input i will have for the sub will be a full bandwidth audio signal so a behringer feedback destroyer for the crossing over and filtering seemed to be a good way to go, add in a 1500 watt bridged pro amp and that should be the electronics covered. so now my question comes, i would like very punchy low bass, and dont have a well kitted workshop, so a sealed box would be a good idea? so the question realy is which is the best driver i can get for around £300 can be any size but i would like to hit at least 25Hz -3dB hoping for better. i did spot an alpine sub which could have worked, but the name and designed use realy put me off even tho it did look real nice, in the flesh and on paper. cheers, stu. |
