Sub Wiring Question

I am getting a new sub as an addition to my current 5.0 setup. My house is wired for 5.1 but only with speaker wires (with banana type connections).

Can I use the sub RCA pre-out from the amp to connect to the speaker connection, then connect the speaker wire back into the RCA amp on the sub?

Do I need to worry about shielding on the cable causing interference, etc...?

Does the woofer amp not have speaker level inputs?

EDIT: You can do it your way temporarily but I would go get an actual cable as soon as you can.
