Default Any thoughts on these mysterious OEM 8" woofers?

I saw these on Fleabay, and wanted your opinion before wasting my money.

They have a reasonably impressive looking magnet structure - otherwise, I have no idea.

They don't look too bad, I wouldn't try to use them as subs, but in a ~50hz-200hz woofer role they should be satisfactory.

Looks ok off hand. you should model it in winisd and give us an idea of your intended application, like box size, if your looking to use them a sub or low end of a 3 way ect.

I was actually hoping to use them for exactly that. Problem is, though, that the mid-woofers I've got are good down to 50hz already.

For low end these are better vented vs sealed but as noted above have little capabilites below 50Hz. Vented at 38Hz in .9cu ft gets a F3 of ~50.5Hz.

FYI those are shielded drivers so a large part under that cover is going to be a bucking magnet and not really part of the motor structure. For an idea of the exterior size of a sheilded vs unshielded version look at the 295-305 and 295-306 models from parts express
